Suchipakari Amazon Lodge Room

📍 DAY 1: CHECK-IN, WELCOME & RIVER ADVENTURE

  • Arrival: Warm welcome with a refreshing complimentary welcome drink.
  • 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Welcome lunch featuring local flavors.
  • Ecological Trail Hike (Gran Cacique Route): Put on rubber boots and venture deep into the rainforest with our bilingual native guides (English/Spanish). Learn about medicinal flora, marvel at the ancient giant Kapok (Ceibo) tree, and spot wildlife along the path.
  • Afternoon River Tubing: Embark on an exciting river journey starting from our private beach on the Pusuno River. Equipped with life jackets, float downstream on inner tubes through a blend of serene waters and fun rapids. Return to the lodge.
  • 7:30 PM: Dinner at the main restaurant.
  • 8:30 PM | Night Walk (Optional): Guided night tour with flashlights to uncover the Amazon's nocturnal life—owls, unique insects, tarantulas, amphibians, snakes, and caimans in the marshland.
Black Caiman Lagoon Navigation

📍 DAY 2: BLACK CAIMAN LAGOON & KICHWA CULTURE

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast.
  • River Navigation & Eco-Fishing: Scenic motorized canoe ride along the Napo and Arajuno Rivers to Campococha. Following a short 15-minute nature walk, board a traditional wooden canoe across the Black Caiman Lagoon for piranha eco-fishing and wildlife viewing.
  • Lunch: Outdoor box lunch amidst nature.
  • Kichwa Cultural Experience: Visit an authentic indigenous home to learn about native customs, sample traditional chicha de yuca, and test your skill with the traditional blowgun (cerbatana).
  • Caiman Spotting & Island Tour: Excursion around Anaconda Island.
  • Ahuano Crafts: Live demonstration of traditional handmade pottery crafted by local women artisans.
  • 7:30 PM: Dinner and relaxation at the lodge.
Artisanal Chocolate Workshop

📍 DAY 3: CHOCOLATE ROUTE & CHECK-OUT

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast.
  • Artisanal Chocolate Workshop: Experience the hands-on process of crafting chocolate from raw Amazonian cacao beans, concluding with a delicious tasting paired with fresh local fruits.
  • Farewell: Free time to relax, complete Check-Out, and bid farewell to the lodge team. End of services.

  • Holidays: Christmas (Dec 24) & New Year (Dec 31) dinner supplement of $30 + VAT (Adult) / $15 + VAT (Child).
  • Flexibility: Date changes permitted without penalty up to 5 days prior to arrival.
  • Payment Methods: Bank transfer or Credit Card (+6.5% processing fee).

How to get to Suchipakari Lodge

Location: Pusuno Bajo Sector, 25 minutes from Puerto MisahuallĂ­, Tena - Napo Province, Ecuador.

  • By Private Car: From Quito (~5 hrs), Baños (~4 hrs), or Guayaquil (~9 hrs).
  • By Public Bus: Quito to Tena ($9) / Guayaquil to Tena ($15). Local taxi from Tena to Lodge (~$20).
  • Shared Taxi Shuttle: Direct from Quito ($50 per seat / one-way).
  • Private Transfer: From Quito ($120 SUV for 1 person / $140 SUV for 2–3 persons).
