DAY 1 | RAINFOREST INTRODUCTION

Check-In & Welcome Drink at Suchipakari: Upon arrival at the mouth of the Pusuno Bajo River, our staff will be there to assist you with your luggage. Once at the lodge, you will be greeted with an energizing tea, and our lodge manager will offer a brief orientation about the facilities.

Lunch: Indulge in a delightful lunch showcasing local flavors and fresh ingredients, crafted to delight your palate.

Rainforest Trail: Starting from the lodge, your guide can lead you through several trails (with varying levels of difficulty) winding through the dense and humid tropical rainforest. These trails, lasting from half an hour to 4 hours, connect to the river or lake, traversing muddy paths as we search for local wildlife.

River Tubing: After the journey, nothing is more refreshing than water. In this fun activity, you'll float on a buoy, using your hands to paddle. With the sky and banks filled with trees, you can fully relax. You can embark on this adventure alone or with a partner.

Dinner: Unwind after a day of exploration with a sumptuous dinner served at the lodge.

Night Walk: The chorus of frogs announces that the forest comes alive in the darkness. Don't forget to bring a flashlight for this tour, where we can observe nocturnal monkeys, owls, snakes, amphibians, and even catch glimpses of caimans. It's also an excellent opportunity to STARGAZE and identify constellations!

DAY 2 | KAWANA RESERVE & HUAORANI CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

Breakfast: Start your day with a hearty meal to fuel your Amazon adventures.

Laguna Kawana Wildlife Sanctuary: Depart early in a private vehicle towards Huaorani territory. At Laguna Kawana, embark on paddle canoes to observe monkeys, hoatzins, tapirs, charapa turtles, and the impressive paiche, the giant Amazonian river fish.

Rainforest Exploration: Venture deeper into the lush tropical forest, crossing hanging bridges and rivers, until reaching the area inhabited by the Waorani people.

Huaorani Community Visit: Experience the culture and traditions of the locals. Participate in spear and blowgun demonstrations, rituals with medicinal plants, fruit gathering, fishing, crafting, and learning basic words in the Huaorani language.

Picnic Lunch & Cultural Immersion: Enjoy a picnic surrounded by nature, followed by music, dances, and traditional songs of the community. Support sustainable tourism by exploring family-run enterprises and acquiring natural handicrafts.

DAY 3 | CHOCOLATE ROUTE EXPERIENCE

After breakfast, awaken your senses with a journey along the Chocolate Route. Explore lush cocoa plantations, taste the fruit straight from the tree, and learn about the planting, harvesting, and careful fermentation process of our “fine aroma” cocoa.

The experience culminates in a hands-on chocolate-making and tasting session, where you’ll discover the natural flavors and health benefits of this Amazonian delight.
