Day 1 – Arrival & First Encounter with the Jungle

DAY 1: QUITO DEPARTURE - COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK - QUILOTOA

Your journey begins with a private transfer from Quito to the majestic Cotopaxi National Park. Explore the Interpretation Center and the Limpiopungo Lagoon, surrounded by wild horses and breathtaking Andean landscapes.

Choose your adventure — horseback riding across the páramo or a guided nature walk. Continue toward Quilotoa, stopping at a traditional Tigua art workshop, where vibrant Andean paintings come to life. Admire the impressive Toachi River Canyon before arriving at your cozy mountain lodge for dinner and rest.


 

Day 2 – Wildlife & Culture of the AmazonDAY 2: QUILOTOA CRATER LAKE - CHIMBORAZO VOLCANO - ALAUSÍ TRAIN STATION

After breakfast, descend into the turquoise waters of Quilotoa Crater Lake for a scenic trek along volcanic trails. Optional kayaking or mule rides are available for those seeking extra adventure. Enjoy a traditional Andean lunch before heading south, with optional visits to the Saquisilí or Pujilí markets.


Along the way, take in panoramic views of Chimborazo Volcano and visit the serene Colta Lagoon and historic Balbanera Church, Ecuador’s first. Overnight in Alausí, surrounded by the charm of the highlands.

Continue along the Route of the Waterfalls, crossing by cable car over the Manto de la Novia and hiking to the powerful Pailón del DiabloDAY 4: BAÑOS WATERFALLS ROUTE & ARRIVAL IN THE AMAZON

After Breakfast, start your morning with a visit to the famous Swing at the End of the World for sweeping views over the valley. Continue along the Route of the Waterfalls, crossing by cable car over the Manto de la Novia and hiking to the powerful Pailón del Diablo.

After lunch, descend into the Upper Napo Amazon, with optional stops at Mira Mera viewpoint or the Casa de la Balsa workshop. Upon arrival at Suchipakari Amazon Lodge, enjoy a welcome dinner and an optional night walk or campfire under the stars.

 


 

Amazon Culture & Adventure Begin your day with a jungle hike to the Latas Waterfall, followed by a box lunch amid the rainforest. Visit a Kichwa community to learn about ancient traditions, dances, and local crafts, and stop at Monkey Beach to observe playful wildlife.DAY 5: AMAZON CULTURE & ADVENTURE

After breakfast, embark on a motorized canoe journey along the Napo River, gliding through pristine rainforest landscapes. Visit an Animal Rescue Center, where rescued wildlife are rehabilitated and prepared for reintroduction into their natural habitats — a unique opportunity to support conservation efforts firsthand.

Continue to Anaconda Island, a haven for caimans, hoatzins, and colorful tropical birds, before enjoying a box lunch surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. Later, immerse yourself in local culture during a visit to a Kichwa Indigenous community, where you’ll learn about ancestral traditions, dances, and handcrafts.

Before returning to the lodge, stop by Ceramic Town, known for its beautiful handmade pottery.
