  • Afterward, travel to an eco-lodge deep in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, where nature and comfort meet. Upon arrival at Tena, dive into adventure with an exciting tubing experience along a calm, winding river.

  • As night falls, join a guided jungle walk to discover the fascinating nocturnal wildlife that awakens after dark.

DAY 3: CULTURAL AND ADVENTURE DAY IN BAÑOS 

 

  • After breakfast at the lodge, visit a Kichwa community to experience traditional dances, crafts, and cultural heritage. Then head to Baños de Agua Santa, famous for its natural beauty.

  • Hike the Waterfall Route to the stunning Pailon del Diablo, ride a cable car over the Manto de la Novia waterfall, and end the day swinging at La Casa del Árbol with breathtaking mountain views.

DAY 4: COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK ADVENTURE

 

  • After breakfast, explore Cotopaxi National Park, home to one of the world’s highest active volcanoes.

  • Choose between a horseback ride along its slopes or a hike to the José Rivas Refuge (4,864 m). Later, visit the scenic Limpiopungo Lagoon before returning to Quito in the afternoon.

    • Light wool is ideal; a warm jacket is usually necessary in the highlands after sunset.
    • Hiking shoes or sturdy boots, a thick sweater, and a jacket.
    • The higher you go, the colder it gets.
    • Temperature range: 5º to 25ºC (41º to 77ºF).

🌿 Amazon:

    • Lightweight long-sleeve clothing/pants, swimsuits, shorts.
    • Comfortable and supportive walking shoes, sandals.
    • Flashlight, rain gear, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, camera, and extra batteries.
